Introduction of Siddheshwar Secondary School
Nestled in the pristine lap of Mount Numbur at an altitude of 2,150 meters, Shiddheshwar Secondary School (Lubu, Umakunda-2, Ramechhap) is a premier educational hub with a rich legacy dating back to 1987 B.S., when it first originated as a pioneering Bhasha Pathshala under Prime Minister Bhim Shumsher. Strategically located near the tri-junction of Ramechhap, Solukhumbu, and Okhaldhunga districts along the historic pedestrian route to Mount Everest, the school serves a beautifully diverse multi-ethnic community, fostering unity among Chhetri, Sherpa, Sunuwar, and Dalit cultures. Evolving from a humble bamboo-mat hut in 2020 B.S. to becoming the district's fifth secondary school in 2035 B.S. and launching its higher secondary wing in 2055 B.S., the institution now proudly offers a holistic educational ecosystem. Today, alongside its general curriculum, Shiddheshwar runs a CTEVT-affiliated 18-month Civil Sub-Overseer technical program, a specialized Himalayan Hostel providing free residential boarding for remote alpine students, and a dedicated Inclusive Education hostel for children with intellectual disabilities, firmly establishing itself as a beacon of academic excellence, technical empowerment, and social harmony in the Himalayan region.
